The Last Train from Madras
A young woman boards an overnight train home after years away, only to find that the person she was running from is the only one who remembers who she used to be.
Content Writer & Aspiring Author
I write to make sense of the world — and to help others do the same. By day, I craft content that informs, engages, and converts. By night, I disappear into fiction, weaving short stories that explore the quiet, complicated spaces between people. I am currently working toward my first collection, while continuing to hone my voice across every medium that will have it.
I began writing the way most writers do — out of necessity. Journals turned into blog posts. Blog posts turned into articles. Articles turned into stories with beginnings, middles, and ends that actually mattered.
Today, I work as a Content Writer, producing everything from long-form editorial to sharp web copy. The discipline of writing to deadline has made me a better storyteller. The discipline of storytelling has made me a better writer, period.
I have completed three short stories so far — each one a step toward the author I am trying to become. I am drawn to character-driven narratives, the unsaid things in conversations, and the beauty found in ordinary moments. My influences range from Alice Munro to Jhumpa Lahiri to the quiet poetry of everyday speech.
I am currently seeking representation and literary journals to submit to, while building a body of work that speaks for itself.
